Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

Groves Law Firm P.C. (“Firm,” “we,” “us”) operates TXLLCAtty.com. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with in connection with our Texas LLC formation service.

What We Collect

When you use our service, we collect:

  • Full legal name, date of birth, email address, phone number, and residential or business address (from the intake form)
  • A photo of your government-issued ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID)
  • Information about the LLC you are forming: proposed entity name, business purpose, registered agent details, capital contribution information, and filing preferences
  • Payment information is processed by Clio Payments — we do not store credit card numbers
  • IP address, user agent, and timestamp captured at the time you sign your engagement letter electronically (required for e-signature legal validity under the Texas Uniform Electronic Transactions Act)
  • If identity verification is requested: Stripe Identity collects a photo of your ID and a selfie for matching

How We Use Your Information

  • To form your LLC and prepare associated legal documents (Certificate of Formation, Operating Agreement, EIN guide)
  • To verify your identity and comply with attorney professional responsibility obligations
  • To communicate with you about your formation and related matters
  • To fulfill our attorney-client engagement obligations
  • To improve our service (aggregate, non-identifying analytics only)

Third Parties That Receive Your Data

We use the following service providers. Each receives only the data necessary for its function:

AI Processing Disclosure

When you submit an intake form, we use Anthropic’s Claude AI to evaluate your submission against qualifying criteria for our productized LLC formation service. Your intake data (name, business purpose, entity details, and state) is sent to Anthropic for this evaluation. Anthropic does not train its models on your data. We retain the AI’s output (an approval, review, or decline recommendation) as part of your client file. For intakes that are flagged for review or declined, an attorney reviews the AI’s evaluation before any further action. For approved intakes, the system automatically sends an engagement letter for the client’s review and signature; the attorney-client relationship begins only when that engagement letter is signed.

Data Retention

  • Client files are retained per Texas attorney file retention standards — a minimum of five (5) years after the matter closes, per firm policy
  • ID photos are retained in Clio for the duration of the retention period
  • Intake data in our operational database is retained for the retention period

Attorney-Client Privilege

Communications between you and the Firm in connection with your LLC formation are protected by attorney-client privilege under Texas law. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with marketers. Data may be disclosed only when required by law, court order, or the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct.

Your Rights

  • You may request a copy of your client file
  • You may request corrections to your personal data
  • You may request deletion of your data (subject to attorney file retention obligations)

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@txllcatty.com or (214) 699-5852.

Security

  • Data in transit is protected by TLS 1.3 encryption
  • Data at rest is encrypted by our hosting provider and database service
  • Administrative safeguards include restricted access controls on all systems that store client data

Children

Our service is not intended for or directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active clients. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
